![]() Oklahoma City, Okla.- Auburn's Lyndsey Jordan finished third Saturday in the Collegiate Reining Championships at the 2008 National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) Derby in Oklahoma City, Okla. Jordan marked a 218.5 to finish behind Oklahoma State's Leah Kuehn who marked a 220 and Ohio State's Keith Ceddia who marked a 219. This is the second year in a row she has finished third. "I had a lot of fun," said Jordan. "I thought I did pretty well for being the first to show, and I had a really nice horse which boosted my confidence." Jordan, a native of Georgetown, Ky., was the first of 12 exhibitors to compete. The top 12 collegiate riders in the country were selected based on their performances. "Lyndsey did a phenomenal job," said Auburn western coach Lisa Helfer. "She rode the horse extremely well for only having five minutes to warm up with it. Being the first to show, she set the bar high by going out and scoring a 218.5. She represented Auburn well, and Coach Williams and I couldn't be more proud." Jordan and the rest of the Auburn equestrian team will return to action this fall. ©2010 DFW Auburn Club All Rights Reserved
