AUBURN - Cooler weather and mostly cloudy skies welcomed the Auburn football team on Sunday as the Tigers practiced for the ninth day in a row with a two hour session on the intramural fields.

Sunday's practice came on the heels of the first scrimmage of 2008, which was held in Jordan-Hare Stadium on Saturday. Having an opportunity to review film, Tuberville addressed his take on the scrimmage.

"We got some things accomplished in the scrimmage yesterday, but we got mentally and physically tired," Tuberville said. "Most guys got about 30-35 plays, on both sides of the ball. Right now, we are just worried about fundamentals and technique. We'll worry about conditioning next week when we start school. It was a good scrimmage. We have a lot to work on."

Tuberville noted that Sunday's practice was used to work on mistakes made during the scrimmage.

"Today, we worked on some of those mistakes from the scrimmage," Tuberville said. "The weather helped a lot today. We'll go twice tomorrow and try to get better. We've got about six more days of two-a-day practices, with only three actual days of going twice. We're going to work a lot on the kicking game this week."

The Tigers will hold two sessions on Monday at 8:15 a.m. CT and 5:45 p.m.

Auburn's season opener is August 30 when the Tigers host Louisiana-Monroe at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Single-game tickets are available for the Louisiana-Monroe, Southern Miss, Arkansas and Tennessee-Martin home games. To purchase tickets visit www.auburntigers.com or call 800-AUB-1957.
