See What's In Store For You

We think that David Housel said it best

"It is a spirit. It is an attitude. It is a way of looking at life and at one another. It is, almost, a way of living. Unless you have experienced it, you will never know what it is; you will never understand it. Once you have experienced it, you will never be the same. A part of you will, forevermore, be an Auburn man or an Auburn woman."-David Housel

War Eagle! Fellow DFW Auburn Alumni and Friends,

My name is Ron Battaglia and I am your new DFW Auburn Club President. Since moving to the DFW area in 2001, I soon realized that I would be around many of my soon-to-be best friends - Auburn alumni and fans. There are over 2,000 known fellow AU alumni and fans, here in our area. We have the largest organized group of Auburn alums and fans west of the Mississippi river. One of my primary goals of being on the newly elected board is to help unite the DFW Auburn family.

Did you know we have Auburn watch parties for all the football games? We meet for all Auburn games at Wizards Sports Bar in Richardson, Texas, conveniently located at I-75 and Spring Valley. We may have anywhere from 50 to 100 Auburn fans there for every game. What a great time it is singing War Eagle, doing the Bodda Getta chant and cheering on the Tigers with fellow Auburn friends. I would like to encourage you to join us for the games this year and make new friends. Hey, we all already have one thing in common- our love for Auburn.

Here is a list of other events we plan on having this year:
Auburn Golf tournament at Bear Creek
Day at the Ballpark - Texas Rangers baseball game
Auburn canned food drive
Road trip to Fayetteville for Auburn vs. Arkansas
These are just a few things the new DFW board has in the works for this year. I hope you will all get involved in some part to make this one of the best clubs in the whole country. You can visit our local website at www.dfwauburn.com to pay your dues ($25.00 per individual / $40.00 for per family) and for updates of our scheduled events. Please, even if you have done so previously, sign up again online so we can update our list and keep you informed about upcoming events for our club.

If you have any questions, comments, suggestions and/or want to help out, please email me at ronbattaglia@att.net. Or, feel free to call me at 214-802-5828.

I look forward to hearing back from you, meeting you in person and seeing you all September 5th at Wizards for the Auburn vs. Louisiana Tech game.

Go Tigers!
